Kerala, in 22kt

The full Kerala traditional vocabulary — Nagapadam, Palakka, Mullamottu, Manga, Pathakkam, Kasumala. Drawn by Mappila and Nair temple-jewellers, struck in 916 BIS gold, finished by hand. Arsha speaks the grammar that Kerala brides have worn for six centuries.

Six centuries of ornament grammar.

Kerala's gold jewellery developed distinct forms for each occasion, caste tradition and region. Arsha carries all of them — in 916 BIS gold.

നാഗപദം
Nagapadam Mala
The iconic hooded-cobra pendant chain — centrepiece of the Kerala Hindu bridal set since the Chera period.
പലക്ക
Palakka Necklace
Rectangular gold plaques set with green glass or enamel — one of the most recognisable Kerala forms.
മുല്ലമൊട്ടു
Mullamottu
Jasmine-bud chain — delicate gold beads shaped like the mullai flower. Worn alone or layered.
മാങ്ങ
Manga Chain
Mango-motif pendant mala — one of Kerala's oldest temple-jewellery forms, still worn in weddings today.
പതക്കം
Pathakkam
Rectangular centrepiece pendant with a central stone — worn as the anchor of the bridal set.
കസുമാല
Kasumala
Coin chain — gold discs strung at intervals. Each coin is hand-stamped with the Lakshmi motif at our bench.
ഒട്ടിയാണം
Ottayana
Waist belt in gold — ceremonial ornament worn by both Nair and Mappila brides during the wedding.
ചൂടോ
Chutti
Head ornament — forehead jewellery framing the hairline, worn in classical Mohiniyattam and by brides.
